Dr. Ting Zhao Wei Rose is a consultant endocrinologist and diabetes and metabolism specialist at Qualigenics Medical Limited in Hong Kong. She is also an honorary clinical assistant professor at the Hong Kong Institute of Obesity and Diabetes, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has more than 10 years of practice experience and served as a resident specialist and associate consultant at Prince of Wales Hospital from 2006-2015 before going into private practice.
She treats and manages patients with hyperthyroidism, goitre, hyperparathyroidism, Turner syndrome, hypoparathyroidism, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, pituitary tumour, fatty liver, adrenal insufficiency, dwarfism, metabolic syndrome, gestational diabetes, vitamin D deficiency, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus type 1, hypophysitis, thyroid cancer, osteoporosis, adrenal tumour, and obesity.
She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at The University of Hong Kong in 2005 and internship and residency at Prince of Wales Hospital. She was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (FRCP) in 2009 and Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (FHKAM) and Hong Kong College of Physicians (FHKCP) in 2012.
Dr. Ting is often invited to speak in local and overseas conferences, symposiums, and forums, including the 17th Diabetes and Cardiovascular Risk Factors East Meet West Symposium in 2015, 17th Taiwanese Association of Diabetes Educators (TADE) Annual Meeting in 2012, and 13th Hong Kong Diabetes and Cardiovascular Risk Meet the Experts Forum in 2010. She has also published her research in various medical journals.
