He specialises in hip and knee surgery and hip arthroscopy. </p> <p>He graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with a medical degree in 1985 and Masters of Medicine in Orthopaedics in 1994. He completed his fellowship in joint replacement surgery at the Medical College of Ohio (USA), fellowship in total joint replacement surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine (USA), fellowship in knee reconstruction surgery at Beth Israel Medical Centre in New York (USA), and fellowship in hip surgery at Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Hospital in England. </p> <p>He previously served as an orthopaedic surgeon and head of the joint replacement unit and bone bank at the Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Hospital Kuala Lumpur. In 2010, he joined KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital where he played a crucial role in the establishment of the hospital's centre of excellence for orthopaedics. </p> <p>He is a Fellow of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS) and member of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association, Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association, European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS).</p>
<p>Dr. Melvin Michael Raj is a physician and gastroenterology specialist at KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital in Malaysia. </p> <p>He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1991 and membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP) in 1997. He then pursued his training in advanced gastroenterology in Malaysia and Australia and was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow (FRCP) in 2008.</p>
<p>Dr. Zul Hilmi is a consultant interventional cardiologist at KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital. His services include general cardiology, cardiac health screening, electrocardiogram (ECG), ambulatory blood pressure and Holter electrocardiogram monitoring, transoesophageal echocardiogram, transthoracic echocardiography, and treadmill and pharmacological stress echocardiogram. He also performs coronary angiogram, right and left heart study, 24-hour angioplasty for acute heart attack, and coronary angioplasty and stenting. </p> <p>He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Tasmania (Australia) and Master of Medicine at the University of Malaya. </p> <p>He is a Fellow of the National Heart Association of Malaysia (FNHAM), ASEAN Congress of Cardiology (FAsCC), Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology (FAPSIC), Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), and European Society of Cardiology (FESC). </p> <p>He has published articles in international journals and actively writes general articles on heart diseases for public education.</p>
<p>Dr. Azmi Abdul Latif is an orthopaedic surgeon with over 10 years of practice experience. He is an examiner for Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (orthopaedic masters examination) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (orthopaedic undergraduate examination). </p> <p>He holds a Master of Surgery in Orthopaedics from UKM and is a former honorary lecturer in arthroscopic surgery and sports injury at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia.</p>
<p>Dr. Nurhashim Haron is a resident consultant general and colorectal surgeon at KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital in Malaysia. He has a special interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery. </p> <p>He completed his basic medical degree at the University of Manchester in 1999. He then obtained his membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) in 2003. </p> <p>From 2000 to 2006, Dr. Haron was a clinical fellow in surgery in the United Kingdom and served at several NHS trusts. He then went back to Malaysia to join the University of Malaya Medical Centre as a surgical fellow and obtained his Master in General Surgery in 2009. </p> <p>In 2013, Dr. Haron underwent fellowship in colorectal surgery at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre. For 18 months, he was involved in the management of complex colorectal surgical cases and laparoscopic colorectal surgery. </p> <p>Dr. Haron went back to the United Kingdom in 2014 and joined Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust as a laparoscopic colorectal fellow and gained experience in acute and elective management of general and colorectal surgical cases performed laparoscopically. He is currently a colorectal surgical fellow at the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons.</p>
