He graduated from Mahidol University in 1986 where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. In 1992, he became a Diplomate of the Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Mahidol University. </p> <p>Driven to be recognized as one of the best in his field, he furthered his education and completed his Fellowship Training in Sports Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh (USA) in 1997. <p>Dr. Somchai Sriyoschati graduated from Chiangmai University, Thailand in 1972 where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. In 1974, he received his Certificate in Applied Medical Sciences (Surgery) from Mahidol University and became a Diplomate of the Thai Board of Surgery in 1976 and the Thai Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery in 1998. </p> <p>He also received his Certificate in Cardiothoracic Surgery from the Hospital for Sick Children in Canada (1982) and Certificate of Temporary Registration Medical Council of New Zealand from Greenlane Hospital in New Zealand (1983). </p> <p>Prior to joining Thonburi Hospital where he is now practicing as a Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeon, he was an Instructor in Cardiovascular Surgery (1977-1979) and Assistant Professor (1979-1987) at Siriraj Hospital.
