Dr. Nilesh Harshad graduated from the University of Bombay (India) where he completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery. In 1992, he became a diplomate of the National Board (National Academy of Medical Sciences) and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (United Kingdom) in 1994.
He completed his internship as well as his residency at KEM Hospital in Mumbai where he gained exposure and experience in different medical specialties including surgery, orthopaedics, and urology. In 1993, Dr. Nilesh went to the United Kingdom and served as a senior registrar in GI Surgery in the Hepatopancreaticobiliary and Liver Transplantation Unit at Royal Free Hospital and the Colorectal Unit at Chase Farm Hospital, both located in London. He also served as a visiting consultant at the Hepatobiliary Unit at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, United States.
Dr. Nilesh is a member of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, the International Hepatobiliary Association, the Association of Surgeons of India, and the Indian Association of GI Endosurgeons (IAGES).
